How old where you when you started with the whole music industry and
how did you start?

I started seriously when I was 16, doing blends for my own sessions, mainly mixing R&B and 80’ Funk. At the same time, I got in touch with several Djs, and that’s how I issued my first mixtapes. Doing that, allowed me to get in touch with more people of music industry, to date, that I’m completely in the movement.

What drove you to do what you do?

Since I was young, I always loved the radio Djs and all about it, promoting and breaking new music, exclusive jamz…especially, doing that in a radio show context. I’ve always loved Funkmaster Flex Shows, the energy transmitted by his show, and that’s what I’m trying to do every Saturday from 2 to 4 pm in my own show, Soulsation Radio Show, and in my mixtapes. That is, keep the energy from the beginning to the end of my radio show, as well as in the mixtapes. That’s what I am, Dj Jooz is always coming like a storm…

What is your main goal at this time?

Nowadays, my main goal is to be a reference in the music industry, mainly with mixtapes, that’s in what I’m lately working hard. I would like to set “Dj Jooz brand”, and develop the movement, make people know that a DJ Jooz mixtape means professional and serious work.  You can check out this on “Strictly South” series, “Southern Ladies”, “All Eyez On The South”, “The Cali Hustle”,…with artists like TRAE THA TRUTH, GMACK, ROCCETT, RASHEEDA, TAY DIZM,…More artists & mixtapes coming soon…I gotta drop 10 mixtapes before the end of the year…
Also Im beting on young southern artists and working on new mixtapes for promoting artists who wants to work seriously and get a place in this music industry.

Where are you currently working? Radio, clubs, etc.

At the moment, I’m working every Saturday from 2 to 4 pm in Soulsation Radio Show in a spanish national radiostation called LOCA FM, you will find it through www.myspace/soulsationradioshow , also syndicated on Reewine Radio, Orlando, every Monday from 11pm to 1 am. The radio show plays Urban music, R&B, Southern Rap and Latin Urban. Im pushin hard the “Fla Movement” and the South in my zone.  I’m also mixing in several clubs in Spain; you can check my gigs dates & info in MySpace page www.myspace.com/djjooz

Where can we find more of you?

You will find more info about me and my work in my FaceBook, on Twitter, and MySpace, we are in all social networks...

How is the movement in your area? I hear you are in Spain?

Spain is developing a movement, day by day, mostly, thanks to the immigration and new generations.
Nowadays, the main urban reference in the spanish R&B movement is Flavio Rodriguez, an artist that gives serious, professional and high quality material.  After his first album, that shakes the urban scene; his second album was the definitive step for making him being the 1st one in spanish urban music.
You will find other artists like Dakaneh and Xcese, an important part of the new generation that will lead the Spanish urban scene.
Regarding producers, B.O.U.L.E. is one of the most talented producers at the moment in the spanish game. His productions are always avant-garde, with a clear 80s touch, you can check his prods in the mixtapes done with TRAE THA TRUTH, RASHEEDA, TAY DIZM, ROCCETT,… , that you will find in MySpace, sure he won’t disappoint you!
The spanish game is going in the good direction, even though the old school spanish MCs won’t it. The Revolution has begun and nobody won’t stop it!
