The newest artists coming out of the Alexis y Fido Camp. Los Yetzons sat down with 24hourlatino.com and let us know what is going on with their career:


24hourlatino: At what age did Los Yetzons start doing music?

Los Yetzons: Well we started Doing music at a very young age. I [Anthony] started playing guitar at the age of 6, By 10 I started writing and singing my own music. I was doing a lot of R&B and Spanish pop with a little bit of rock. Smalls always did music as a kid also. He used to do songs with Alexis before he joined up with Fido to make Alexis y Fido.

24hourlatino: Which one from you guys are related to each other?

Los Yetzons: Smallz is Alexis's Brother and Anthony is Alexis and Smallz Cousin.

24hourlatino: How did Anthony and Smallz come together to form the group Los Yetzons?

Los Yetzons: Well I [Smallz] Was in the U.S for a while and came to Puerto Rico and started doing music with Alexis. I [Anthony] Was in Puerto Rico doing R&B. Smallz and I [Anthony] got together and did a song called “Descontrol”. We layed down the vocals in a studio in Ponce. We figured that with our 2 styles we could offer listeners something different, something global.



24hourlatino: How did Los Yetzons Get Their Deal?

Los Yetzons: Alexis y Fido heard our song called “Descontrol”. They liked it a lot, Enough to offer us a recording deal with their label “Wild Dogz”.

24hourlatino: You Have a New Song “Cuando Se Acaba El Amor” Where did you shoot the video and how is the song doing for you worldwide?

Los Yetzons: The video was done in Santo Domingo. The song is starting to pick up, But in reality we are just starting to do promotion for that song. Just like “Nadie Como Tu”  which we won number one video spot on tv stations in the U.S. And Now our plan is to do the same for “Cuando Se Acaba El Amor”

24hourlatino: Did you ever think the song “Ilogico” would take you to where it has taken you?

Los Yetzons:  We just felt that one was a hit when we wrote it. Then the Mambo Kings touched up the beat and we knew we had something special. It's just one of those songs that when we finished the song everyone was just like “Wow”. Just the Combination with Mambo Kings we knew it was going to be a certified hit. The fans loved that song, it just picked up steam by itself. We really didn't do too much promotion for that song, but it got us the number one spot in PR.



24houlatino: Last Question, What should we expect coming out of Los Yetzons in the future? And Who will be releasing this record?

Los Yetzons:  We just finished the album titled “ The Black Frequency” and we are pushing for a march or April release date so stay tuned. We did not just limit ourselves to Reggeaton, we have a little bit of everything. We decided not to have too many features on our first album. We wanted to give the fans more of us. The only big name on the album is Alexis from Alexis y Fido, because we wanted to work more with the producers than with the artists, But we do have some features.
