Zion and Lennox, who have been known to sing romantic ballads intertwined with regaeton vibes, are back with a new album called 'Pasado, Presente y Futuro' (Past, Present and Future). The duo will bring the album to the Spanish supershow Sabado Gigante, where they will be featured as artists of the week. Don't miss the show this Saturday night @ 8/7pm Central on Univison.
The album was recorded in their native land of Puerto Rico, where the video was filmed.
What's the theme behind the video? Zion responds immediately. "The clip is set in the '50s when they had the femme fatale. The story is set in a bar where the owner is half mobster and also the antagonist of the video, who plays Lennox, and the girl who is the protagonist is also a jazz singer, and I am a bohemian.
Nothing like who you are because you guys like to make battle records against other artists. No, not us. We are people of Peace and Love, we are more romantic.
How have you all seen the evolution of reggaeton, the movement that began two decades ago in Puerto Rico? It has evolved a lot, we've been able to market different types of music alot more, thank God.There's more trance, more tech.
Zion said he likes the battling, "We won't leave it, as we say, but we're a little more elegant and moving with the evolution of everything. And I think if you change it has to be for the good, the genre has changed in recent years, and we do not stay behind. That's why the album is called "Past, Present and Future".

Remember your first time on Sabado Gigante? We were nervous because, it's for a respectable man who people recognize within the music industry and on television. In many countries people love him because of his charities. He is a very serious man but loved. At the time of the interview you are treated with respect but at the same time it is fun.
What is the future of Zion and Lennox? Continue making music, keep growing. We've got many plans, conquer Mexico with our music. We need to go to Mexico City, we went to Cancun, but we want to go to Mexico City because we know that our music is heard in the clubs, we have friends who tell us they heard our songs at the clubs.

El dueto grabó su disco en su natal Puerto Rico, donde también realizaron su nuevo video.
¿De que trata el video? Zion responde de inmediato. “El clip se ambientó en los años 50 en que habían las femme fatale y todos andaban elegantes con smokin. La historia se desarrolla en un bar donde el dueño es medio mafioso y es el antagonista del video, que interpreta Lennox, y la chica que es la protagonista es una cantante de jazz, y yo soy un bohemio”.
-Nada que ver con ustedes, porque a ustedes les gusta el “perreo y la tiraera” (los reggaetoneros se echan entre sí amenazan mediante las canciones).No, nosotros no. Somos gente de Peace and Love, somos más románticos.
¿Cómo han visto la evolución del reggaetón, del movimiento que empezó hace dos décadas en Puerto rico? Ha evolucionando muchísimo, nos hemos comercializando mucho más gracias a dios la música ha cambiado. Está más trance, más tecno.
Zion indicó que también les gusta el perreo y el zandungueo, eso no lo dejamos, como decimos nosotros, pero un poquito más elegante y yendo con la evolución de todo. Y pienso que si vas a cambiar es para bien, el género lo ha hecho en los últimos años, y nosotros no nos quedamos atrás. Por eso es que el disco se llama “Pasado, Presente Y Futuro”.
¿Qué les gusta de ver Sábado Gigante? Me gusta la personalidad de Don Francisco, como las entrevistas, las preguntas que les hace a los artistas y los coge de improviso. Y también cuando pone a la gente a cantar, comentó Zion
Mientras que Lennox: indicó que le encanta la Cuatro, y la parte donde sale con la Posada Gigante, con la vieja, me encanta, Me río mucho. Somos fans desde niños.
¿Recuerdan su primera vez en Sábado Gigante? Estábamos nerviosos, porque es un hombre respetable que la gente reconoce tanto en la industria de la música como en la televisión. En muchos países la gente lo quiere por sus actos benéficos. Imagínate, es una persona muy seria pero querida. A la hora de la entrevista te trata con respeto pero al mismo tiempo divertido.
¿Cuál es el futuro de Zion y Lennox? Seguir haciendo música, seguir creciendo.Tenemos muchos planes, conquistar México con nuestra música. Nos falta ir al Distrito Federal, ya fuimos a Cancún, pero queremos ir a la capital mexicana porque sabemos que nuestra música se oye en las discotecas, tenemos amigos que nos dicen que escucharon nuestras canciones allá.
