The Puerto Rican group Calle 13 lit up the night on Thursday in Caracas with their musical mix of reggaeton and hip-hop in a two hour concert.

Screaming out "Venezuela in the house", had the crowd stunned in amazement as they performed their songs, such as 'No hay nadie como tu', 'Una fiesta de locos', and 'Emigrante'.

Not one moment during the event were there any references to the gratuitous concert on Saturday announced by the Venezuelan government, which is also said to have Molotov and Orishas in attendance. Last Tuesday, the Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez said during one of his interviews, he would sing with Calle 13 on stage at the gratitous concert.




El grupo puertorriqueño Calle 13 encendió la noche del jueves Caracas con su mezcla de reguetón y de hip hop en un concierto de dos horas en el que desplegó lo mejor de su música.

A grito de “Venezuela está en la casa”, los el grupo urbano boricua encandiló a un público totalmente entregado durante toda su actuación con canciones como “No hay nadie como tú”, “Una fiesta de locos” o “Emigrante”.

En ningún momento durante el concierto hubo referencias a la eventual nueva actuación del grupo el sábado en un concierto gratuito anunciado por el Gobierno venezolano, en el que también está prevista la participación de Molotov y Orishas.El pasado martes, el presidente de Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, dijo, durante una de sus intervenciones, que iba a cantar con Calle 13 “el sábado” en un concierto gratuito en Caracas.
