Six Puerto Rican vocalists will travel to California to participate on a reality show called "The Sing-Off", which looks for the best music group in the world who can sing acapella.

Puerto Ricans Johnny Figueroa, Juan Eli Diaz, David Pinto, Edgar Rios, Ludwig Henderson and Jose Angel Rodriguez will participate from December 2nd to the 21st.

The group will battle it out every week for the chance at getting a record deal, they will be judged in front of a panel of experts contracted by NBC and Sony Pictures Television.

For about a month and a half the group participated in auditions in Los Angeles next to 300 other groups from different parts of the world. Try outs were held in New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles to pick out eight.

The six artists will be travel next Saturday to Los Angeles, California to reunite with the rest of the competitors, who have not been publicly announced.

The trip will be funded by reggaeton megastar Daddy Yankee, who paid for the flight and hotel stay.

Los puertorriqueños Johnny Figueroa (voz del bajo), Juan Elí Díaz (percusión), David Pinto (primer tenor, percusión, solista y trompeta), Edgar Ríos (tenor, percusión, trompeta y director musical de Alpha Voices), Ludwig Henderson (tenor, solista, percusión y trompeta) y José Ángel Rodríguez (segundo tenor, barítono, percusión y trompeta) participarán entre el 2 y 21 de diciembre.

El grupo luchará cada semana por obtener un contrato discográfico y se enfrentarán a un panel de expertos contratados por la producción televisiva de la cadena NBC y Sony Pictures Television.

Hace un mes y medio el grupo participó en una audición en Los Ángeles junto a 300 grupos de distintas partes del mundo. Hubo pruebas en Nueva York, Chicago, Atlanta y Los Ángeles para escoger sólo ocho.

Los seis artistas se trasladará el próximo sábado a Los Ángeles, California, para reunirse con los demás competidores, que aún no han sido anunciados públicamente.

El viaje se realiza gracias a la aportación económica del reguetonero Daddy Yankee, quien costeó los boletos de avión y la estadía en el hotel.
