Musical idol Don Omar cancelled because of health issues at his most recent presentation in Dominican Republic this past weekend.

Don Omar was invited to Hector Acosta "El Torito"'s presentation at the Hotel Jaragua in Santo Domingo on the 31st of October. Don Omar and his team arrived to the island 2 days prior to the event to have ample time to set up the show which took place at the Teatro Fiesta.

Before coming to the island, Don was feeling a little under the weather and flew out anyway, thinking he would feel better, and to keep his word on doing the show. But everything worked against him; his health worsened and for this he did not show up.

Day of the event, his stage crew set up to practice, check over the equipment and set up the sound, but the artist was still not feeling any better.

"I feel bad for cancelling. I love the Dominican Republic but physically, my body was not up to the task. I hope for a speedy recovery as soon as possible and come back to the island I love to perform and to visit. With the same token, I apologize to my good friend "El Torito", who I couldn't be with performing that night", said Don.

For the moment, he is back in the U.S. where he was ordered to rest by doctors.

El ídolo de la música Don Omar canceló por razones de salud su más reciente presentación en la
República Dominicana este pasado fin de semana.

Don Omar era artista invitado de Héctor Acosta “El Torito” en una presentación que tenían pautada en el Hotel Jaragua, en Santo Domingo, el pasado sábado 31 de octubre del 2009. Don Omar y su equipo llegaron a la República Dominicana 2 días antes para preparar su presentación en el país la cual se llevaría a cabo en el Teatro Fiesta.

Antes de la llegada de Don Omar a República Dominicana, el artista se estaba sintiendo mal y de todas formas viajo, pensando que se iba a mejorar, y por consecuente poder cumplir con la presentación. Pero lo contrario sucedió; su estado de salud empeoróy por tal razón no pudo llegar a la actividad.

Día del evento, el equipo de trabajo del artista fue a ensayar, revisar equipos, camerinos y sonido pero el artista no presentaba mejoría.

“Siento mucho lo sucedido con esta cancelación. Amo a la República Dominicana pero físicamente el cuerpo no me ayudo para presentarme en tarima. Espero recupérarme lo mas pronto posible y regresar a este país que tanto amo visitar. De igual manera me disculpo con mi gran amigo “El Torito” ya que no pude estar esa noche compartiendo con el.” comento el artista.

Por el momento el artista tiene planes de regresar a los Estados unidos donde fue ordenado a estar en reposo
