NewsDon Omar Para Argentina Ahora En El 2010
Read 2118 Times Since Posted on 2010-01-11 Considered by many as the "King of Reggaeton", the Puerto Rican artist Don Omar will be performing in Buenos Aires for the third time, promoting iDon at GEBA stadium on February 14th. "A dead King makes a new King", a catch-phrase by a fan. In reggaeton, the latest latin rhythm, unfortunately there's no need to regret a death, because it's obvious who the King of the genre is. If pop crowned Michael Jackson as their king, Madonna as their queen, and Britney Spears as their princess, when you speak on the reggaeton crown, two names come to mind: Daddy Yankee and Don Omar. And it's Don Omar, who for the third time, will visit this city and give them a sample as to why he is considered the King of the genre. With seven Grammy awards and four BillBoard awards under his belt, the charasmatic Puerto Rican will show himself on Valentines Day. The man responsible for hits being played at clubs, music TV stations, on the radio, and in car stereos, such as "Pobre Diabla", "Ella y Yo", and "Dile", Don Omar constructed his career from the bottom, struggling against poverty as a child has overcome all baricades and stood his ground in a genre that never loses its popularity. As far as the supposed rivalry between him and Daddy Yankee, the competition is friendly and humorous. Both artists have collaborated on the "Hasta Abajo remix".
