JKing & Maximan reprueban que Santini cancelara la presentaci�n de Calle 13

Reggaeton artists JKing and Maximan, who will be participating on October 31st at the Cirotic musical event, are not necessarily applauding Rene Perez's remarks about the Puerto Rican govenor, however they do say that Mayor Jorge Santini banned them from participating.

JKing declared in an interview with Primera Hora that "Rene has reasons on some things and the govenor has his on others. I think both have valid points, as well as non-valid points, and the only thing I can say that there was a better way it should have been handled".

Speaking on the cancellation of their performance at the musical event, he also said "the Government has to remember about the constitution, where it says we have the right to express ourselves and he shouldn't do that (censoring). But you know there are loopholes and some things turn out dangerous. They saw it as an attack on Fortuño on part of Perez and Calle 13. I think he sees it as a way of violating his right to speech".

Maximan, on the other hand, has no opinion on what Rene Perez has been saying or doing, but he does say "I don't approve that they cancelled their performance because we live in democracy and we do have the right to express ourselves, it should not have been that way. It also has an effect on the production of the albums".





Los reguetoneros JKing & Maximan, quienes participarán el 31 de octubre en el evento musical Circotic, no necesariamente aplauden las expresiones que hizo René Perez, de Calle 13, sobre el gobernador Luis Fortuño, pero sí reprueban que el alcalde capitalino Jorge Santini haya censurado la participación del dúo.

JKing declaró en entrevista con Primera Hora, que “él (René) tiene unas razones en unas cosas y el Gobierno tiene sus razones en otras cosas. Yo creo que los dos tienen unas cosas buenas y unas cosas malas y lo único que digo es que hubo una mejor forma en que lo pudo haber dicho”.

Sin embargo, acerca de la cancelación del conjunto urbano, al que dijo admirar, expresó que “el Gobierno tiene que acordarse que en la Constitución tenemos el derecho a la libertad de expresión y tú no puedes hacer eso (censurar). Pero tú sabes que tienes unos loopholes y unas cosas que te puedes pegar para hacerle daño. Ellos lo vieron como que fue un atentado contra él (Fortuño) de parte del individuo (Pérez), y de parte de Calle 13, yo creo que él lo ve de la forma de que el Gobierno quiso violarle sus derechos de expresión”.

Maximan, por su parte, no tiene “ninguna opinión” en cuanto a las expresiones del cantante René Pérez, que se dieron el jueves durante la entrega de los premios MTV Latino en Los Ángeles, pero sí expresó, en cuanto a la situación con el municipio de San Juan, que “no apruebo mucho que lo hayan cancelado porque nosotros vivimos en una democracia y tenemos libertad de expresión y eso no debió haber sido así, además de que se pueden afectar muchos otros intereses en cuestión de la producción”.
