Tito El Bambino Graba Video Feliz Navidad En Puerto Rico

Tito El Bambino has not recorded a music video for the past two years on his native island because he chose to shoot them in other places, but on this topic, he has decided to shoot the video at home. The song? A Christmas ballad he titled 'Feliz Navidad', which means, Merry Christmas.

"This is a happy occassion and it's motivational for the people who have had a rough year due to criminal acts and the loss of jobs, among other things", he says.

The video, directed by Gus Film, focuses on welcoming the holidays. The video brought out the likes of Christian Nieves and his dad Modesto Nieves, who also made an appearance on the 'El Amor' song.

'Feliz Navidad' will be released on digital next Tuesday and will be included on the album 'El Patron, La Victoria' which hits stores November 17th. This disc includes the remix to 'El Amor' with Jeny Rivera and La India, also 'Mi Cama Huele A Ti'.

Like a typical Puerto Rican, Tito El Bambino is "an outgoing person and in my house growing up, we were taught to be that way. I will always have that little kid in me and I've always wanted to make a Christmas album".

However, a surprised reaction was received from Jose Feliciano who publicly expressed his discontent with the rapper because his most famous song was also named "Feliz Navidad", which he composed and recorded in 1970. They are still friends though. "When I began to write this song, I did it with the intentions of it being named just that. And since it had been such a long time that I wrote it, and didn't do it with bad intentions, I sent it over to Jose because neither the melody or the lyrics sounded anything like his", says Tito.

Certainly, he surprised Tito, who remains friends with the composer, he also owes his respects and friendship with Feliciano because he was the first international artist to ever record with him and Hector Delgado when they were once a duo.





Tito El Bambino hacía dos años no filmaba un vídeo en la Isla por haber optado hacerlo en el extranjero, pero en esta ocasión quiso hacerlo en su patria por tratarse de un tema navideño al que ha titulado Feliz Navidad.

“Esto es una canción de alegría y es de motivación para las personas que han vivido un año difícil por la criminalidad que nos azota y por la pérdida del trabajo, entre otras cosas”, reitera.

El vídeo, dirigido por Gus Film, resalta la bienvenida a la Navidad y cuenta con la presencia de los cuatristas Cristian Nieves y su padre Modesto Nieves, quien precisamente tocó con su instrumento un pedazo en la canción El amor.

Feliz Navidad saldrá a la venta digitalmente el próximo martes y estará incluido en el disco, El patrón, la victoria, que arribará las tiendas a partir del 17 de noviembre.

Este discompacto incluirá líricas como los remixes de El amor con Jeny Rivera y otro, con La India, y la letra Mi cama huele a ti.

Como típico puertorriqueño, Tito El Bambino se siente “superparrandero y siempre se me enseñó en mi casa parrandear. Siempre tengo ese niño dentro de mí y siempre dije que quería hacer un disco de Navidad”.

Aunque le sorprendió la reacción de José Feliciano por haber expresado públicamente su descontento porque el rapero tituló su tema Feliz Navidad como la famosa canción que él compuso y grabó en 1970, asegura que siguen siendo amigos.

“Cuando empecé a escribirlo (el tema), lo hice teniendo en cuenta que había un tema con ese nombre. Y como habían pasado tantos años cuando lo terminé, como no lo hice con intención de maldad, se la envié (al Señor bolero) porque ni la melodía ni la letra era igual a la suya”, narra.

Por cierto, el asombro de Tito El Bambino, quien sigue su amistad con el cantautor, se debió también a que existe un respeto y una amistad de su parte hacia José Feliciano, porque fue el primer artista internacional que grabó con él y Héctor Delgado cuando conformaban el dúo Héctor & Tito – el corte Señor redentor para su álbum El nuevo milenio en 1998.
